  • If it’s a long delay, you may be eligible for expedited handling or partial compensation, depending on the circumstances.

While damage claims are very uncommon, Navi has a structured claims process to protect your vehicle and your peace of mind.

1. Inspection at Pickup & Delivery

  • At pickup, the carrier performs a full vehicle inspection, documented in the Bill of Lading (BOL) with photos.
  • Upon delivery, both parties review the vehicle’s condition together.
  • If damage is noticed, it’s marked immediately on the BOL.

2. Notify Navi Claims Support

  • Contact Navi within 24 hours of delivery.
  • Our claims team verifies your report and helps file it directly with the carrier’s insurance.

3. Insurance & Carrier Coverage

  • All carriers are required to carry active cargo insurance that meets or exceeds FMCSA requirements.
  • Typical coverage includes external damage during loading, transport, and unloading.

4. Resolution & Follow-Up

  • We stay involved throughout the claims process — we don’t leave you to “deal with the carrier.”
  • Most claims are resolved quickly once documentation is complete.
